That’s the Joke
The sole reason I haven’t burned down countless acres of forests is because a bear with a hat and shovel told me not to my whole life. Smokey Bear (note: not Smokey the Bear), is probably one of the best PSAs the government has ever come up with. Even though the original slogan of “Care will prevent 9 out of 10 fires” was terrible, the reinvented one “Only you can prevent forest fires” is engrained in pop culture and society. So well done. No more forest fires happen right? Wait… crap.
